Abstract

One of the main constituents in the construction materials is concrete. All types of construction works require concrete. The admixtures of concrete consist of specialty chemical mixture which is used as an additive in concrete or cement. One of the benefits of using concrete admixtures is that the requirement for cement and water is decreased. Superior surface finish and capability to resist harsh climatic conditions are also other advantages of concrete admixtures. There are two types of concrete admixtures: mineral admixture and chemical admixture.
