Abstract

To regulate different processes without human intervention, automatic water level control is used by different industries. Comparison of actual value with a required set value by the controller to produce an error signal is an application of control theory. New technologies in the computer-based systems have made it possible to control the hardware of the systems. Water flow management is one of the applications where computer-based control systems are used. It is used to minimize the water wastage caused because of water overflow. Monitoring the levels of water is important in applications related to agriculture. The water pump circuit in a tank or reservoir is managed by the automatic water level controller. When the water level is below the expected level in the tank or reservoir, the automatic water level controller switches the water pump circuit on and vice versa the water pump circuit is put off when the level of the water is above expected. Advanced technologies are used for designing and implementing such type of controllers.

The scarcity of water is one of the major issues; hence, conservation of the water has become important significantly. Automatic water controller is one solution for this problem; it prevents water wastage and also limits the amount of electricity that is used. Usage of automatic water level controller has financial benefits as well as energy savings; hence, this results in the global market growth. As controllers require no human intervention, there is no manpower cost. The installation and maintenance of these controllers are easy which also serves as a factor for its high demand in the industrial segments. These controllers can be used with bore well, open well, single phase motors, sumps, and three-phase motors. They are widely used in apartments, commercial complexes, drainage systems, factories, and hotels.
